**Meet Rhino — a survivor with a huge heart and so much love to give 🐾**

Rhino is a stunning 80-lb pittie with a gentle soul and a deep love for people. At just 2 years old, he is affectionate, cuddly, and incredibly social — especially with **kids and new people**. Rhino doesn't just like attention… he *adores* it. On walks, he'll happily pull toward friendly strangers just hoping for love and playtime.

Rhino's life began with incredible odds stacked against him. His mother was taken in by Cody's Friends while pregnant and required an emergency C-section. Rhino was the **only puppy to survive**, and tragically, his mother passed shortly after. A devoted foster bottle-fed him around the clock and raised him alongside her pack — even nursing him with the help of a terrier who had lost her own puppies.

Because Rhino grew up without siblings or a mother, he missed some of the crucial early lessons dogs normally learn about canine communication. Despite this, he grew into a loving, confident dog who thrives with humans and bonds deeply with his people.

Today, Rhino is doing wonderfully in a foster home environment. He is calm, affectionate, and continues to show positive progress — including respectful, gentle interactions with resident dogs under proper supervision.

Rhino would thrive as:

- In a home with an experienced adopter who understands slow, structured introductions.

He is **not dog aggressive** , but he does need thoughtful management and advocacy when it comes to canine interactions. What he *is* without question: loyal, loving, playful, and deeply devoted to his people.
