Elsa

Breed:

Labrador Retriever

Sex:

Female

Age:

Puppy

BIO:

Elsa and her sister, Anna NKA Shadow were surrendered to a local shelter where they were going to be put down because they were so scared. The owner had 5 of them living outside and not cared about and haredly ever touched. One brother was put down immediately and we found a foster in the nick of time who took these two sweet girls and they are WONDERFUL!!! They have blossomed out of the shelter and not fearful anymore. They are happy, super sweet and love, love! They go on walks and do great on a leash. What a turnaround for these two. Anna weighs 48 pounds and is about 7 months old.

Meet Elsa! 🐾 Age: 7 months | Breed: Labrador Mix | Sex: Female Say hello to Elsa, a sweet young Lab mix ready to find her forever home! Elsa and her litter were all turned over to the Richardson Shelter, but Elsa and her sister Shadow caught a lucky break — they were pulled from the shelter by loving fosters who saw their potential.

A Love Bug Through and Through
Elsa takes a little time to open up with new people, but food, treats, and love do the trick! Once she warms up, she's affectionate and never shy about asking for attention — whether that's a belly rub, a cuddle, or just being near you. With a little more training and time to grow, she's well on her way to becoming the perfect lap dog and best friend.

A Little Shy With Other Dogs
Elsa can also be fearful of other dogs at first — new dog friends take her a little time to trust. With some patience and love, she settles in and shows off her trusting, playful side.

A Girl Who Loves to Play
Elsa is treat-motivated and toy-obsessed — squeaky toys are a favorite, but really, any toy will do! Her love of treats makes her especially food-motivated for training, and a fun game or a good chew is always a great way to bond with her.

Bonded With Her Sister
Elsa and Shadow are currently co-dependent on one another. When they play together, they can get a bit snappy with each other — this isn't aggression, just normal sibling roughhousing that they're still learning to navigate. With guidance, they'll continue to grow more confident playing both together and independently.

Easy Living • 🚗 Great in the car — road trips won't be a problem! • 🏠 House trained and settles in easily at home • 🛏️ Crate trained — makes for stress-free nights and alone time

Best Friend Wanted
Elsa would do best in a home with another resident dog — ideally a calm, confident, patient pup who can help teach her "how to dog" and show her that new canine friends aren't so scary after all.

Elsa is looking for: • A patient adopter who understands that she needs a little time to trust — with people and other dogs alike • A home with a gentle, well-adjusted resident dog to help her build confidence • Someone who wants an endlessly affectionate companion — once Elsa warms up, she's more than happy to give (and receive!) all the love

If you're ready to be the person (and the pack) who helps Elsa feel safe in the world — and gets a whole lot of love in return — Elsa would love to meet you!
