Every week, lives are lost. In shelters and on the streets, countless incredible dogs are running out of time. Many people don’t realize that their local shelters are full of adoptable dogs — every breed, size, age, and personality — just waiting for someone to give them a second chance.
At Cody’s Friends Rescue, we fight every day to change that. We rescue as many dogs as we can from heartbreaking circumstances — but the need never stops. Irresponsible breeding, puppy mills, and uninformed pet owners continue to flood communities with dogs who have nowhere to go and no one to protect them.

Instead of investing in a facility, we’re channeling all our energy and resources into pulling more dogs, providing top-tier care, and building a sustainable rescue model that reaches more communities and saves more lives. MISSION
At Cody's Friends Rescue, we are a dedicated group of volunteers united by a single mission: saving dogs. Together with our incredible supporters, we take on the challenging task of rescuing Dallas area dogs who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, injured, or are sick.
Our passion is giving these dogs a second chance at life, one dog at a time. We are committed to rehabilitating them physically and emotionally, ensuring they find the loving forever homes they deserve, no matter the effort or cost involved. This work is a labor of love, made possible by the generosity and support of people like you.
Rescuing animals and enriching their lives comes with significant financial responsibilities. We rely entirely on community donations to continue caring for the dogs currently awaiting homes. Driving Second Chances WITH Our NEW Adoption Bus
Every mile matters when it comes to saving lives. At Cody’s Friends Rescue, we dream of adding a fully equipped adoption bus to our fleet. This new vehicle would be game changing in allowing us to rescue even more dogs, reach even more communities, and place many more pets into loving homes.
This mobile adoption unit will give us the ability to pick up at-risk dogs from shelters, provide safe and comfortable transport, and attend more adoption events throughout North Texas.
